The Sonshine In Our Life

 

 

For many have searched far and wide, but we know that salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.  With this being true, we know that he is almighty and all-powerful, and he is able to change us into what he wants us to be.

 

That is the Sonshine in our life

 

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!  Yes, how great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!  And that is what we are!  The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.  Dear Friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known.  But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.  So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen.  For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

 

That is the Sonshine in our life

 

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.  Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.  So never fret when times are tough because we know that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.  He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

 

That is the Sonshine in our life

 

Didn’t you know that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness, and for that reason we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.

 

That is the Sonshine in our life

 

There may be times when we think we must doubt, but we can always be confident of this, that he who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.  For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

 

That is the Sonshine in our life

 

Times may come when we feel distraught & dismayed, but we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all surpassing power is from God and not from us.  We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.  We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.

 

That is the Sonshine in our life

 

We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life, and what a glorious life it is.  For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.  When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

 

That is the Sonshine in our life

 

This is love:  not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.  And with this knowledge, I know that my God will meet all of your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

 

That is the Sonshine in our life

 

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!  Amen.
